Lucas Hot Rod & Classic Car Motor Oil SAE 20W-50 is a high-quality motor oil designed to meet the specific needs of hot rods, classic, and trophy cars, particularly those without catalytic converters. It’s an excellent choice for muscle and showroom-quality cars, and can also be used in racing applications. The oil is formulated from the finest paraffinic base oils and is fortified with a unique additive package that includes high levels of zinc, molybdenum, and phosphorus. This special blend results in a tougher, thicker additive film that ensures maximum protection for the engine, even under severe conditions.

The oil’s composition is tailored to reduce oil temperatures, thereby extending oil life and minimizing metal fatigue. This results in an improved film strength between the cylinder wall and piston rings, which slows oil burning and boosts pressure in worn engines. With good cold temperature properties, this oil stands up to high operating temperatures, making it a versatile choice for different climates and driving conditions.

One of the key features of Lucas Hot Rod & Classic Car Motor Oil is its compatibility with methanol and all racing fuels, as well as both synthetic and non-synthetic oils, providing flexibility for various engine types and fuel mixtures. For vehicles that may spend extended periods of time off the road, such as during the winter, the oil includes components of Lucas’ Marine oil additive package to offer rust and corrosion protection during these long periods of non-use.

This motor oil boasts an increased zinc value of 2100 PPM to meet the needs of the Hot Rod and Classic Car community. The oil is not recommended for use in passenger cars with catalytic converters requiring API service oils.
